Κύριο μέλημα του καρδιολογικού τμήματος είναι η παρακολούθηση ασθενών με:  

• Στεφανιαία νόσο (διάγνωση και φαρμακευτική θεραπεία στεφανιαίας νόσου, παραπομπή ασθενών για στεφανογραφία, παρακολούθηση ασθενών μετά από έμφραγμα του μυοκαρδίου, μετά από αγγειοπλαστική με stents και μετά από εγχείρηση αορτοστεφανιαίας παράκαμψης/by-pass).
• Καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια.
• Υπέρταση (διάγνωση, φαρμακευτική θεραπεία).
• Δυσλιπιδαιμία (διάγνωση, φαρμακευτική θεραπεία).
• Βαλβιδοπάθειες (διάγνωση και εκτίμηση βαρύτητας βαλβιδοπαθειών, παρακολούθηση μετά από αντικατάσταση βαλβίδας).
